I'm Charley, Business owner & Professional Hair and makeup artist of Retro Beauty Based in Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire.

I have always had a love for creative Hair & makeup and especially the 1940s and 50s era, I love the femininity, glamour and the waves!

 I began my career locally as a facepainter on a farm where i learned so many basic skills ( believe it or not!) I then worked in the industry self taught at the time working many festivals, events and counter makeups of the day. I then decided it was time to get it on paper and went back to college as an adult as studied a "level 3 in hair and media makeup and special effects" as well as several short courses with the infamous Charles FOX .

I did many festivals and freelanced for a company called Vanity Van, working backstage and glamping salons for the celebs and music acts, Body painted at tattoo shows, fashion shows, magazines , brides and hens!

In more recent years i have worked in Beauty, Theatre, Fashion, Film Make-up, Hair Styling, wig making and Special Effects.
